I have a parallel port scanner. I have been using Windows XP for at least eighteen months, but my pc will not boot up when the scanner is plugged in. I have been building my own kit for several years now, but I am not all that clued up software wise. This is to do with XP- a couple of friends have had similar problems. Alan
