Fairly sure this is likely to be a Warner weight - i.e. contemporary. All t=
he Warner invoices I've seen give exact weights, and in 1913 they quoted th=
e original weights of an earlier job (Redditch of c.1857) in a letter - imp=
lying that the foundry records were then still in existence.=20

I rang there too - in June 1971. Rather bumpy, as I recall - and regarded a=
s "inadvisable" if not "unringable"
