I wonder if it is by Day of Eye - remember the bell of 1915 which he cast f=
or the chapel of St Helen, Silfield, Wymondham (11.5/8" diam, inscribed G D=
AY & SONS EYE 1915, square canons) ?
Presumably the 1998 coin is for comparison of size only ?

Subject: [Bell Historians] Bell at Forncett St Edmund
Does anyone recognize the mark on the attached picture. It is from the b=
ell on the chapel of ease at Forncett St Peter. The bell was inspected by =
Tony Baines. The chapel was built around 1905 and dedicated to St Edmund. =
The bell has a diameter of 11 1/2 inches and weighs 40 lbs. It has conven=
tional canons of square section. Any information would please the parish h=
istorian, John Webster.
