Hence my insertion of Snr. Even accounting for the inaccuracies, the 
books are well worth reading. Most people are aware of the 
inaccuracies anyway. Inaccuracies are to be found also in material 
produced by others who would claim to be far more eminent. John's 
father also stands to be praised for the spellings in his books - 
something which constantly surprises me on these pages!
