In the 'Warehouse' in the NRM at York, there is a small collection of
works and station bells. These were largely small brass-foundry
castings, but there were two larger one of bell-metal, one of which
was inscribed with the initials of the Great Western Railway.
Was this last cast at Swindon or Wolverhampton works, or did it come
from one of the usual bell-founders?
