New chime and de, dah, dah, dah etc

I saw a new 18 bell Petit & Fritsen chime mounted on a large Marengi
fairground organ at the Welland (near Malvern) steam fair on Sunday.
The bells weight range is from 8 to 50 kg. The bells were only fitted
in June and replace a much smaller set. The organ will be playing at
the Great Dorset steam fair at Stourpaine near Blandford during the
first week of September.

I, too, watched the prom late on Saturday night. The bells may have
been borrowed from the Liverpool Philharmonic who ordered 3 from WBF
for a performance of Berlioz's Symphony Fantastique (the March to the
Scaffold) some five years or more ago. There was a photograph in the
national press at the time.
