a couple of the trustees are on this list, so perhaps they can
enlighten us? The bells are mentioned in passing under Launton in
Sharpe's Oxfordshire.
Fred's set, still used by the Launton Handbell Ringers, contains a
handbell by every known maker, but I'm not sure exactly how many by
people like Robert Wells and oth eighteenth century founders are
employed. These bells are the property of the Sharpe Collections
Trust, but on perpetual loan to the Launton ringers, who put them to
very good use.
