Absolutely right, those you mention are superb, but it was very
disingenuous of Andrew to imply that Whitechapel have produced
nothing good! The are fine rings around from all three of the major
foundries of the 20th century and it makes me very cross when people
write off rings of bells because they have the 'wrong name' on!
I won't take up list with my story of a well known ringer's first
visit to the new bells of Canterbury Cathedral, but suffice to say he
thought they were magnificent ...until he discovered they were by
Whitechapel and not Taylors!
