Chris Pickford's list of large bells lists the tenor as being George
Mears, 1859, weight 25-1-1

Is there anything special about these?

>From the date and source one would expect a rather poor sound. Far from it
they are really good.

Bushy heath Herts. a White chapel 1925 , 11.2.3 in f sharp.

Local "memory" is that they were cast to thin but the weight and note are
not far of average

Anyone knows why they sound so well awful. Was it an experiment?
