I have suggested that the North West tower of Ripon Cathedral could be used
to hang historic bells acquired from parishes in the diocese where they had
become surplus to requirements due to "modernisation" of the peal. The
Dean's response was, "To quote Mrs Beaton, "First catch your hare."." So
far no hare has been caught.
