Campanology in Ireland does indeed give details of the pre-Taylor
bells. Brief synopsis as follows:
1670 - W & R Purdue, in partnership with W & T Covey supply a ring of
eight
1695 - 5 recast by Henry Paris
1724 - Treble recast by Gaberall(sic) Thorp
1809 - 7 recast by James Wells of Aldbourne
1864 - 5 & 6 recast by J Murphy
In 1994 the old eight bells were distributed as follows :
Treble - 1724 - Killaney Parish Church, Co Down
2 - 1670 - Killorglin Parish Church, Co Kerry
3 - 1670 - Five-minute bell at St Patrick's, Dublin
4 - 1670 - On permament loan to St Columbanus, Bangor, Co Down
5 - 1864 - St Bartholomew's, Belfast
6 - 1864 - Assume still at St Patrick's Dublin - no mention of an
alternative
7 - 1809 - Derryvullan Parish Church,Irvinestown, Co Fermanagh
8 - 1670 - Daily service bell at St Patrick's Dublin.
