Pardon my ignorance, but Middle Rasen was a three. I assume that 
these became 3,4 & 5 of a 6, on the basis that there is a new 3rd and 
the 4th & 5th have now been tuned. Why, then does the treble also 
need tuning? Surely it is almost a new bell.

Again, just curious!
