The treble was tuned to +902 cents, resulting in it sounding very "bright", and accentuating the dull tone of the 5th and 4th. As these bells were being sent to Whitechapel for tuning, I thought it prudent to flatten the treble to +890. The new 3rd is the lightest "Simpson tuned" C above middle C (it is 1043.5 or C-5/100) that we have ever made. Nigel Taylor
