I find Mike Chester's observations a bit surprising. I ring at Stretton
from time to time, and I have never found the rope circle a problem. It
might
be worth bearing in mind that there is no intermediate chamber in which to
adjust the positions of the ropes as they come out of the frame. I don't
think one would expect a non-standard frame simply on account of the size of
the tower.
