Taylors removed the canons, provided new wooden headstocks for bells 2 to 5=
& fitted new bearings in 1890.

World 8 January 1988, p.4, but really only picking up a reference I'd foun=
d in the Bell News to alterations in the 1890s. David Town has done a much =
more thorough study of the place and could doubtless add more
