J. Hayward, whoever he was - C15 tower retained. The church is really rather
unexceptional: that is clear from photos and description.
Seems to have been a local Devon architect, with a fair number of churches
to his credit (though I would not presume to make any architectural
judgement whatsoever). According to the ICBS Monkton is only ?Hayward. See
