Preserved Bellframes

After having been at the recording of Songs of Praise and also at 6 
Admin Committee Meetings, held about 50 yards from the base of the 
tower and hearing the clock chiming every 15 minutes, I finally rang at 
SMITF, Trafalgar Square on Saturday. 

I noticed, when closing the sound control, that the old metal frame was 
left in situ above the new frame. Is this the only preserved metal 
frame and, also is being inside a church seven times before getting a 
ring a record!
