One of the bells (I think the

New headstock and bearings in 1971 if I remember correctly.

Just goes to show (Jim Philips will love me saying this!) that
theoretical perfection, isn't always everything!   Has the fact that you
now know the figures for this ring don't stack up well changed your
aural opinion of them?

As CD said, "a fine ring if you like that sort of thing!"
