Is there a copy of the 1553 (or thereabouts) survey of Church Goods for
Gloucester?  That may have some details.

Isn't Poulton Abbey near Wotton-under-Edge?  It's just possible bells may
have been transferred from there when the abbey was dissolved.  I know
Poulton was technically in Wiltshire at the time, so you may have to do some
fairly extensive hunting.
