Just to say that I popped in to the church at Kingstone, Somerset, about a
fortnight ago, to see if there was a weight chart or any information in the
church - but there's nothing. The church guide mentions that the bells are
mainly by M&S 1931 with two old ones

I have information from Christopher Dalton that bells 1, 2 4 and 6 are by
M&S - and actually dated 1930. But I can't add anything else

It's a pity Chris that I didn't know you were going to visit , a ring could
easily have been arranged and access to the bells . I regret that there isn't
information in the church & I will have a word with the authorities . I
thought that 1,2,4,5,and 6 were M & S 1931 and that the 3rd is an ancient bucket
. I am of course open to correction . Also there are details of a peal ( rung
in 1946 ) inscribed in the church roof .
