Alnwick is now an RC church and as such will not fall under the C of E 
regulations, unless there is a leasing type of agreement as in 
Bristol.  IIRC there is no such agreement - David Hird/Howard Smith 
might be able to confirm precise details.

There was a suggestion that the bells might be sold some time ago to 
finance church repairs, but their value was not enough at the time to 
make the job worthwhile.  Give the increase in value of bell metal it 
might be worth putting in an offer.  Any Russian billionaires on the 
list?  ;-)
