Greenock, St George's North

Last year mention was made on bellhistorians and the Ringing World of the chime of ten Gillett & Johnston bells in St George's North, Greenock. I am pleased to inform you that the Keltek Trust has acquired these and the chime of 12 from Mount Zion church, Quarriers Village (listed as Bridge of Weir in G&J records). All 22 bells are now in storage and have been put on offer to the Scottish Association of Change Ringers for potential projects in Scotland. More details can be found on the SACR web site www.sacr.org 
The SACR will welcome suggestions as to where they can be relocated.
