Some time ago I looked in detail in JTs Records for 'Grimthorpe' bells.
Suffice it to say that all the very heavy scale rings have gone:
Whitley (Bay) now gone
Ossett
Headingley now gone Grimthorpe specification
Madresfield 4 & 6 gone Ring remodelled & retuned by
Taylors 2005
Mirfield retuned
Worcester Cathedral now gone
Coddington, Herefords Ring retuned 2004 to
lighter scale by HMA
If anyone would like to see the full write-up please contact me off-line.

Subject: [Bell Historians] Lord Grimthorpe
On thinking about it, I have simply accepted that Grimthorpe bells are
bad, but have actually never heard one being rung. What exactly is it
that made him so sure that he was right, only to be found wanting? Was
he close to being right? Was it plain arrogance? Answers in plain
English would be appreciated!
Mike
Plain English on Grimthorpe would not be acceptable on any decent chat list.
Clever, but ******
