I have found two locations for Maudsley's Yard, at East Greenwich and
Lambeth. Maudsley (later Maudsley Sons & Field) were Marine Engineers
and as such would undoubtedly have had dock access together with heavy
lifting gear, so would have been a logical place to unload a bell the
size of Big Ben. Lambeth would seem to be the obvious choice; it's
close to Westminster, is upstream of London Bridge and south of the
river, hence the bridge crossing.

I am told that 'Maudslay Son & Field moved from Lambeth to the west side of
the Greenwich peninsula in 1864.'
