No hoax. All 6 bells have wheels and the quarter peal was somewhat delicately rung. This was followed by some open ringing, only the 3rd time this has been permitted, although the headstocks had loosened up quite a lot during all this. The order for the rehang was placed with Whitechapel last week. The bells are due to be removed at the beginning of next year, to return at the end of the year. The tenor will be tuned and all 6 bells will be hung in a new anticlockwise frame.

Does this mean the rehanging is complete, or just that a wheel was
added to the tenor, or what?
