I would have thought that Newport would have been the sort of ring to make Richard Offen - once exiled in Shropshire but now standing on his head even further away - feel homesick for his native Kent, which excels in bells of similar tonal quality!

They're not good but, as Andrew has suggested, Taylors are hardly to blame

CJND used to say that the worst counties for bells (tonally) were Berkshire, Hampshire, Shropshire and Kent!
