Probably because Hertfordshire is worse.
Sussex is on a par with Essex Bedfordshire and a lot of other rather
mixed counties. Personally I think Kent has enough really good rings to
lift it out of the bottom order. No one has mentioned Maidstone or
Wrotham yet, Chatham sound good if rather tough, amazing for Warner,
probably there best effort. Lydd are a superb ring, 1926 g&j!, Sevenoaks
are nice.
I'm surprised that Sussex hasn't had a dishonourable mention . If memory
serves me correctly Rusper stands out as being particularly gruesome .
