Now well into my seventies (in fact it's my birthday -and my wife's - today) 
I decided some time ago that it was time for me to step down as DAC bell 
advisor, having been in post for nearly 35 years. I didn't want to do so, 
however, until after the Malvern Priory case had been determined.

The other candidiate at interview was Chris Povey.
