I would be surprised if there is a problem with the Faculty applications
unless EH wants to keep the old frame!

 

The bigger problem may be the LBC from Stoke City Council who have given
this once but with the proviso that the roof of the tower, already rotted
away, must be replaced when the bells are removed (at the expense of the
Church).

Really good news, lets prey that EH do not go heavy on the Stone
application.
They are a more important case than Malvern, in some ways.
The fact the back 6 are a complete AR 1 ring of 1710 will not help
(assuming pNBR is accurate) even if the resultant sound is poor, by any
standard.
One hopes the faculty application is really well reasoned and as
convincing as it possibly can be.
