The potential risk from vandalism resulted in the Council granting LBC to
have the bells removed into safe storage back in summer 2007.

This could not be taken advantage of at the time because this was
conditional on whoever removed the bells also fixing the tower roof!

The risk of vandalism has been greatly reduced since Simon Lindford's
workman have been on site and have secured the perimeter.

Unfortunately this not regarded as a factor in planning guidelines (PPG15).
