GAD says: "War Memorial bells has been aired a couple of times on this List."

They have. The issue this time is not so much where there are war memorial bells, but rather have any been recast, scrapped or relocated etc. The Stone ringers - who have, I understand, already put forward imaginitive proposals for retaining the connection with Hanley using not only information about the bells but also live links - really need examples of precedents for the removal of war memorial bells from one site to another.
