What about the Cheviot and the North Tyne Valley?  Inland Northumberland
must be as empty of towers as anywhere in England.

 

 

I cannot remember, though I should, having lived (but not rung) in those
parts for some years.  

 

Son, and map, are in Canada and I will ask him.
