No it was a genuine request. We have been asked to produce a bell for a "charity job" who need it in a rush. I currently have very little bell metal in stock. As the value of scrap bell metal is less than new ingots, I thought it might be worth asking the question. I think I have now located a cracked TH Buoy bell.

I am looking for some scrap bell metal for a casting next week - about 2cwt would be ideal. If anyone knows of any which is available, please contact me off list. I'm expecting to pay the going rate.
