Hung dead with an internal electric hammer in a bellcote. Before the rebuild
of 1991, this church had eight tubular bells in

a central steeple; see also OLD TRAFFORD St John. 04/12/99

At least it was only a "cast iron" one! Half a ton and the size of a
football?? Big football, perhaps?

I wonder if Alex Ferguson went past they would ring it for several minutes
longer than for anyone else?*
