Searching for information about an obscure European bellfoundry, I 
ran across this document online.  Published in 4 volumes, it mentions 
at least 39 places which had bellfoundries worthy of mention c.1850, 
though it gives no names or histories.  Most of them are on the 
continent; exceptions are Downham (Market) ("large"), Gloucester 
("formerly a bell foundry of very ancient date, but it is now 
removed"), and Loughborough ("famous").
