Guessing the towers in Barry Peachy's article on pages 591 & 592:

I guess that the old ring of three augmented to six by adding two trebles and a tenor is Middle Rasen; the dreadfull ring of eight that was replaced with a new ring of ten is Bishopstoke and the bad four which are a worse six is Immingham.

Any ideas for "the six were awful, and the eight are appalling"?
