Gaps in ringing careers

  Several years ago some of the Boston, Massachusetts ringers went out to help with the ringing during the Groton School reunion weekend. One of the former ringers who turned up had not rung in the 50 years since he finished school, but we had asked how long it had been since he took a rope, so we know to have someone stand with him.  He had a lot of slack in the rope, but was OK with some assistance.
