There is an article on the bell in Jill Johnston book ' England's Child', 
 p132,137 & 138. 
I have a selection of transcriptions from newspaper cuttings on the subject of 
the time taken from the Cyril's Scrap Books. These books can be found in Croydon 
Records office under the ref. AR1/2/1-7. I also have details of the bell.
