Tenor does seem a bit arbitrary with its note!

Pensnett, on the other hand, do seem to have tuned up ok, given their previous reputation!

Birmingham did produce some "interesting" rings in Victorian Times.  The Blews 8 at Cradley stick in my memory for their extremely loud overtones.  I found this poem:-
