Highley delighted to hear that recording.  Thornhill (ex Todmorden) seem to have tuned up pretty well – 1910 Carr.  Thanks for all your informed replies and I will ascribe said bell to Carr of Smethwick.  Interested in the slight rounding off of the two canons which would be exposed to view when hung on a wooden headstock – any further knowledge on that aspect?
