There was some discussion about these tubular bells a while ago on the
Group. Things seem to be moving again - see the (slightly edited) email
thread below. Note the second paragraph in Geoff Rhodes' email - can anyone
help with that?

Laurie
I am not sure we have room to display the bells on site. The idea is to have
some sort of history display about them but they do need to be disposed of.
We still need someone who knows about this type of bells, to come to site
and identify what we have and what is worth saving.
If you have a network of interested persons could one of those come and look
at them?
We are currently helping the church to be able to start on the reordering
project in Summer 2013. We would like to move the bells off site even if it
is to store.
Perhaps we can have further discussion in the new year.
Dave Lambton - Have you taken any pictures of the bells? Can you also take a
picture of the remains of the mechanism that is on the back wall over the
entrance?

Dear Robin, Geoff, Barbara and Dave,
I am writing to you from Wellington, New Zealand where I am currently on
holiday.
I am the caretaker at St John's Anglican church in Darlinghurst, Sydney,
Australia where we have a set of 13 Harrrington's Tubular bells.
I heard about a set of 8 tubular bells at your church that were possibly
available for sale, I had a church in mind in Sydney for relocation, but
they decided not to proceed due to pending development on site and thought 2
projects at once might be too much for them.
I believe now there could be another Sydney church interested, so I was
wondering if the 8 tubular bells are still available for sale and
relocation?
I am a huge fan of Harrington tubular bells and would love to see another
set come to Sydney, there are 2 sets currently in Sydney (including ours),
there are 4 sets of Harrington tubular bells in New Zealand.
I have set up a website which includes Harrington tubular bells ringing,
they ring out all over the world and there has been a lot of interest in
them, they are very well made and last and last, their ring tones are
excellent.
The site is located here -----> http://www.youtube.com/lauriealex
I look forward to hearing from you.
Every good wish,
Laurie Alexander
