Wasn't there talk of these bells going to Holy Redeemer, York?
Re. the Linthorpe projected designs, there's a passing resemblance to St. Thomas, Eccleston, St Helens, where the tower was finished around 1933, over forty years after the rebuilding of the chancel and nave. See http://www.flickr.com/photos/38156936@N02/3882501210/in/set-72157622156949023. The bells here lay buried in the churchyard during the rebuilding campaign!
