Others will know better, but surely bells are simply consecrated rather 
than consecrated for something. I expect in the majority of cases the 
bells are not strictly speaking consecrated at all, but are just 
fixtures in a consecrated building. Perhaps that should be AAJB's 
definition - unless it is the case that some non-conformist churches 
don't go in for consecration at all.
