[Bell Historians] Rust and the tonal characteristics of steel bells

It is often said that the poor tone of Naylor Vickers bells is due to rust -
but I have just completed an investigation into the Bassaleg bells (now in
the Millennium Gallery in Sheffield) that suggests this is not so:
