That's about 'how' rather than what to do.

So would I.  And given that it would be a move from an environment
controlled by a US corporate to one controlled by ringers, I find it hard
to imagine anyone would not do so - apart from any dead addresses, which
could usefully be cleared out anyway.

A related question is whether the message archive could be recovered from
Yahoo and re-hosted.
