[Bell Historians] Alphabet bells

I had the same thought regarding U and W, but that leaves X.

It does seem as if someone used the whole set just because they could.
Either through illiteracy, or to 'brand' the bells with a set of letters 
only that founder had, or both.
Or maybe they added an 'inscription' when none was commissioned.
