[Cherry-hinton-ringers] Cherry Hinton Community Groups Fair - Saturday 18th September

Dear All,
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to help represent the Cherry Hinton Bellringers at the Cherry Hinton Groups Fair on Saturday 18th September from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.:

It would be helpful if a few people could arrive from 12.30 p.m. to help with the set-up so we are ready at 1 p.m. when the doors open to the public.
Amanda has dug out the history of the bells and is happy to do couple of overviews of that when we have sufficient audience - along with a ringing demo or two. Marina is happy with giving people a go - one at a time in the tower if there is interest. I have some pictures and other information to make a small display and we will have a few leaflets for people to take away. We will be provided with a table and two chairs for the display area.
There is schedule of bands online Cherry Hinton Festival | 18th September 2021 so we will have to keep this in mind when scheduling the ringing slots. The organisers have suggested that we ring between bands (while one packing up and the next setting up) and we will have to be flexible and fit in with them on the day.

We expect that visitor numbers will start to dwindle between 3pm - 4pm so we can start to wind down then.

P.S. The organisers are asking visitors to wear face coverings so please wear a mask while inside church where possible (even if you need to remove it while actually ringing).
