[Cherry-hinton-ringers] Cherry Hinton practice - learn more about ringing evening - 12 October

A date for your calendars - I've agreed for the learn more about bellringing evening to take place on Tuesday 12 October.

I'll keep Tuesday 19 October as a second option to run an additional learn more evening in case there are some expressions of interest who can't make the 12 October.

We have the support of several who can teach to come along on both of those evenings.

I don't know how many of the expression of interest people will attend - but I will let them know the date and remind them a couple of days beforehand....beyond that I can do no more.

Hi All

Just to update you - we had a busy but worthwhile afternoon at the Cherry Hinton Community Fair yesterday.

Thanks to all those that supported the tower activities in this way - lots of positive comments about the sound of the bells in Cherry Hinton from the local community generally and lots of interest from kids for sure and plenty of adults who tried something new for the afternoon.

We received 6 or 7 genuine expressions of interest in learning more about ringing at least - and I hope have picked up Will who only moved to Cherry Hinton last week and can already ring - who we have invited to join us on Tuesdays.

My plan is to consider holding a 'Learn more about ringing' evening on one if not two Tuesdays in October to invite those who expressed an interest along to find out more and to see if they want to progress with learning to ring.

It would be good to have a couple of people along on those October evenings who are comfortable with teaching - as well as other members of the band to demonstrate ringing - these evenings will be more of a taster and meet the bellringers than a practice.

Teachers - please can you let me know which Tuesdays in October would work for you to definitely be around at Cherry Hinton so we can agree at least one date for the above?
