That's what half the debates in ringing seem to be about - how you define
stuff, which ultimately comes down to what you call stuff, and how you
recall stuff. Fair enough if the CC want to dictate this in terms of their
record keeping, but a band will always find the best way of learning and
ringing something for themselves, and the CC shouldn't tell them they've not
rung a peal because of it.
