Not necessarily.  They can refer to any sort of falseness,
whether internal or external.

To me it is the somewhat arbitrary division of falseness
into internal and external falseness and the assertion that
the falseness group symbols only apply to internal falseness
that is inconsistent.  Falseness as a whole is the more
primitive concept -- surely the falseness group symbols
should apply to the general concept rather than just to
internal falseness?
